Thanks to Amam at thdblog we’ve discovered another charity devoted to providing clean drinking water to those who have none. the 1000 Wells Project has an innovative idea for raising money to dig wells modeled after the practice of fasting. Give up your usual beverages for two weeks and drink only water. Then donate the money you would have spent on soft drinks, juice, coffee, etc. to their charity. For every dollar you send in 1 person in Africa will receive clean water for one year. A small, almost insignificant sacrifice on your part will change the lives of those in need. 1000 Wells even has posters, fliers, labels, stickers, scorecards and everything else you will need to participate ready to download and print. Get others to participate with you and you will make a significant contribution to a global crisis.
